Embark on a journey into fabricating a one-to-one federal chair from porcelain.
Unlike the common perception of a chair as stable and 'comfortable', the porcelain material, susceptible to shrinkage during firing, introduces an element of unpredictable deformation.
This transformative process challenges the chair's conventional stability, turning it into a sculptural object with its unique narrative.
The project redefines the notion of a stable chair by crafting its counterpart from porcelain material.
It aims to foreground the feelings of fragility and insecurity, orchestrating a sensory and emotional reversal solely through material alteration. Porcelain, known for its pure white appearance and high glass content, undergoes significant changes in shape and size during the firing process, amplifying the chair's metamorphosis.
